Moroccan Rug Corner Repair

 

I love working on Moroccan rugs because their vibrant colors and rich motifs always leave something to be discovered.  This lovely hand knotted Moroccan rug was no exception.  We do not know what caused the damage to this Moroccan rug, but it is likely that the damage was caused by a dog pulling or chewing on it.  We first professionally cleaned the rug so that any dirt and dust particles buried deep within the pile were removed.  Next, we rebuild the warp readying ourselves to reknot the corner.  In our next posts, we will share our progress.  --www.traditionalrugrepair.com
