Dog Chewed Persian Rug
There are times when even a well behaved adult dog can significantly damage a beloved Persian or hand knotted rug. In these instances, the rug can almost always be repaired or restored. It is definitely recommended to repair the damage sooner rather than later so as not to let time and wear extend the damage more than its current state. Pets are generally attracted to corners and fringes. With any luck, damage will not extend to the pile itself which will require reknotting. As always, all restoration and repair projects will begin with a professional cleaning of the rug.
