Antique Persian Rug Cleaning in NYC.

 

Sometimes we are asked why antique rugs are trickier to clean. The answer is that some antique rugs pose unique risks.  Some antique rugs are in such great condition that cleaning them is not much different than cleaning newer rugs. Other antique rugs, however, are more fragile. The rug pictured above, for example, is a beautiful antique Persian rug. Unfortunately, it is not in great condition so cleaning it poses many risks. First, we do not want to worsen any existing damage. Second, we do not want to brush it too roughly so that vulnerable areas are overwhelmed and become holes or tears. However, we do have to clean it so we do have to use some level of force as we brush.
