Over time, this beautiful antique kilim had become worn and in need of a little TLC to bring it back to its former glory. Some of the areas around the open slits had become damaged, and some holes were threatening to expand and cause significant damage in various areas of the kilim. First, we professionally cleaned the kilim taking special care not to pull on any damaged areas. Next, we sourced yarns that matched the kilim's colors as much as possible. Next, we restored the kilim hole by hole, area by area.
