Above is the final result of our recent project restoring this worn and damaged area in this lovely Persian rug.  We always aim for our restored sections to blend in as much as possible with the existing rug.  We try for the newer sections not to call to much attention to themselves.  With any luck, the restored section can even outlast the rug, although the rug has many more decades to go, if not longer.  This is the beauty of handmade rugs.  The better ones can outlast even us. --www.traditionalrugrepair.com
