How to Repair a Hole in a Navajo Rug
After professionally cleaning this beautiful Navajo rug, we got to work rebuilding the foundation of an area that had been damaged at some point in the long life of the rug. Foundation work is incredibly important as it is what all other work will build on. Our restorer here rebuilt the foundation with wool yarns that eventually will be obscured when the restoration is complete (hence, there was no need to match the colors exactly). Building the foundation is a time consuming process, but one that is important to do it well and thoroughly. ---www.traditionalrugrepair.com
